Virtual Rockstar is seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Specialist to join our client’s dynamic Physical Therapy practice in California.

Responsibilities: Conduct insurance verification and obtain authorizations for services.

Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.

Handle patient inquiries via phone and email with empathy and professionalism.

Maintain accurate patient records and update files with insurance information.

Explain insurance benefits to patients clearly and comprehensively.

Coordinate communication between the front office, billing department, and patients.

Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and resolve issues.

Track the status of pending insurance claims and follow up as needed.

Assist patients with insurance-related queries and provide timely resolutions.

Support the Director of Operations with additional tasks as required.

Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or similar role in healthcare.

Familiarity with insurance verification, authorizations, and billing processes.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.

Integrity to work honestly and diligently while on the clock.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer service orientation.

Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Empower EMR is a plus.
