The Electrical Design Engineer is primarily responsible for delivering the design of high-level and effective Electrical engineering services to the Walker Bai Group. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Delivery You produce Electrical Services design and documentation on a wide variety of projects through the development of specifications for the design, development, manufacture, and installation of new or modified Electrical components or systems. You ensure client briefs are correctly interpreted and maintained focus during the engineering process to maximize efficiency and minimize rework. You manage project delivery end to end, capturing any variations to project scope and communicating all resourcing requirements and project updates to the engineering manager. You manage client expectations and concerns. Success Measures: Projects completed on time and within scope/budget. Effective management of projects to meet deadlines. High-quality technical reports and specifications produced. Technical Leadership You model our values and contribute positively to our team culture. Team members understand and comply with quality standards and project requirements. POSITION REQUIREMENTSQualifications Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Regional Equivalent. Skills and Experience Experience in Project Management and Electrical Engineering within the Australian building services sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all stakeholders. Strong understanding of Australian building codes & standards. Strong rapport-building skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. Supportive and accessible for team mentoring and advice. Experience with Electrical services engineering design according to relevant standards and authorities’ requirements. Proficiency with Electrical design software such as AGI32, Power CADD, Dialux, Power PAC; understanding of Revit, CAD, and BIM is preferred. Reliable IT setup and a well-equipped home workspace.
