What is expected of you and others at this level:Collaborate with team members and clients to share technical knowledge and insights, fostering a culture of continuous learning and expertise development within the engineering team.Execute tasks and projects independently, showcasing a high level of self-sufficiency and technical proficiency.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows operating systems, addressing end-user issues promptly and effectively.Resolve complex tier 2 and 3 tasks/incidents with precision, applying in-depth technical knowledge to ensure efficient problem resolution.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, fostering issue resolution, and promoting knowledge sharing across the team.Participate in 24x7 rotating shifts, including on-call support, and potentially in Hypercare Support, ensuring seamless operation of critical services during high-demand periods.Contribute to the preparation and distribution of reports, emphasizing engineering insights and health checks for relevant technologies such as virtual desktop solutions.Demonstrate expertise in cloud platforms, encompassing Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS), Citrix, and Win365, to effectively manage and support cloud environments.Showcase proficiency in scripting and automation using commonly used languages and tools, contributing to the optimization and automation of engineering processes.Exhibit strong customer service and communication skills, actively engaging with clients and team members to deliver effective solutions and support.Job Requirements:Proficiency in Windows Operating System support with advanced troubleshooting skills.Possess 5+ years of experience in engineering and supporting Virtual/Cloud environments, with a preference for experience in a similar engineering role.Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 support for desktop applications.Proficiency in providing support for Windows applications, including expertise in Citrix administration and in-depth knowledge of Amazon WorkSpaces.Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Active Directory.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Optional/Nice to Have Requirements:Certifications in relevant technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft 365 Cloud PC, and Citrix (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Citrix Certified Associate).Technology Required:Primary Technology:Amazon WorkSpaces: Cloud-based desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).Citrix: Virtualization and application delivery platform enabling remote access to applications and desktops.Win365/Cloud PC: Involves Windows 365 and Cloud PC virtual desktops, offering cloud-based Windows computing solutions.Microsoft 365 Desktop application: Suite of Microsoft Office applications and desktop software for productivity.Secondary Technology:ServiceNow: Service management and ticketing tool for streamlined IT service operations.Jira: Issue and project tracking tool for efficient task and project management.ControlUp Management Console: Used for monitoring and managing virtual environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.Minimum Years’ Experience: 5+ yearsPreferred Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in IT or any IT related field or equivalent work experience.Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
