Position Overview: As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting custom SAP applications using ABAP programming. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, functional consultants, and end-users, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within SAP. Key Responsibilities: ABAP Development: Design, develop, and implement custom programs and reports using ABAP to meet business requirements. Enhance standard SAP applications and develop custom functionality using ABAP Objects, ALV, BAPI, BADI, Smart Forms, and other SAP tools. Technical Support: Provide technical support for existing SAP applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects. Optimize performance of SAP programs and ensure the smooth running of SAP systems. System Integration: Collaborate with functional teams to integrate ABAP solutions with other SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, HR). Develop and manage interfaces between SAP systems and external systems (e.g., IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, web services). Code Reviews and Best Practices: Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize ABAP code. Documentation: Document technical designs, development procedures, and user manuals for custom applications. Project Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery of SAP solutions. Participate in design and architecture discussions to provide technical insight and recommendations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. Proven experience with ABAP development tools, including ABAP Objects, ALV reports, BAPI, BADI, IDOCs, Smart Forms, and SAP scripts. Strong knowledge of SAP data dictionary objects, workflows, and enhancements. Proficiency in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization techniques Experience with system integration using RFCs, BAPIs, IDOCs, and web services. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is a plus. Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 is a plus.
