ROLESupport the overall project management responsibility for the integrated implementation and execution of renewable energy projects for the Company covering solar, wind, battery energy storage systems and other systems / infrastructure complementing the projects.
The position carries full integrated responsibility for the execution management of all projects under its purview.
It includes management of major supply and construction (EPC) contracts and contractors including, but not limited to, planning and schedule oversight, cost control, quality control, contract management, claims management, risk and safety management, environmental management, social management, et al.
The group targets the safe and timely implementation, completion and turn-over of the project to the O&M Group.
RESPONSIBILITIESOversee evaluation and due diligence of suppliers of major equipment and services by review of quality and service, as well as, the contractor’s ability to deliver based on business needs and timelines.
Oversee the project value chain; that is, oversight of the project interfaces between project development (contributor), construction and commissioning and hand-over to internal clients.
Manage and coordinate with all internal support groups (in a matrix organization), as needed, for the administrative and commercial management of the project.
Follow-through final commercial close-out of the project including completion of all outstanding claims, liabilities and commitments; act as focal point for the projects in coordination with the appropriate support group for the process.
Create, maintain, conform and administer processes workflows, including forms, checklists, et al to properly manage and execute projects.
Provide oversight and management of all site project teams, both direct and matrix team members, including day to day project operations, project scope and schedule performance, budget monitoring and controls.
Manage and coordinate project schedule and budget while securing compliance to set standards on quality, safety, environment and community relations, etc., through regular discussion and coordination with contractors, suppliers, relevant government agencies and other stakeholders.
Manage relationships with contractors and other suppliers to control adherence to contract agreements; act as focal point to the main contract partners including joint venture partners.
Ensure regular project reporting of project status to senior management; ensure compliance to all necessary permits, approvals, regulatory compliance, as needed, at local and national level.
Monitor project status and decide on key project issues within approved limits of authority with senior management, major contractors and key suppliers.
Monitor, control and report on project Risks and Opportunities, and maintain such as a living document/process; review project status by monitoring KPIs and parameters.
Complete closeout and handover of projects to O&M Team.
Together with Asset Management team, assist in developing internal control and compliance functions to address compliance by stakeholders.
Plan and execute periodic assessment of business processes and verify alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
Provide inputs for operability and maintainability of projects Interface with O&M group for turnover of projects.
Support planning and execution of planned/unplanned outages and CAPEX projects for operational facilities QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)Professional: At least 15 years combined experience in power plant engineering, construction and/or operations and maintenance preferred.
To include OEM and EPC contractor experience and in addition, utility scale PV power plant experience preferred.
Demonstrated project management experience with project P&L, schedule and cost responsibility for major capital projects.
Project Experience: Proven track record demonstrating responsibility for Project Management functions of major (greater than 150 m USD capital cost) power project experience, through construction, commissioning to hand-over and completion.
Competency in project management, contract management and project control.
Computer literate, proficient in MS Project, word processing, spreadsheet applications and presentation tools.
Project scheduling experience in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
Basic management and problem solving and negotiations skills.
Good communication and interpersonal–relations skills.
