The Technical Audit Head is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting audits focused on technical operations, systems, and processes within Meralco Power Gen (MGEN) and its subsidiaries.
This role ensures compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and operational best practices in the context of power generation.
The position plays a key role in assessing plant efficiency, safety, equipment reliability, and identifying risks while recommending actionable improvements to plant and technical operations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement technical audit programs in alignment with the annual audit plan and risk assessment priorities.
Conduct operational, compliance, and safety audits of power plants, including inspections and evaluation of systems, processes, and documentation.
Assess the effectiveness of maintenance practices, engineering procedures, plant safety, and equipment integrity.
Review compliance with regulatory, industry, and internal standards related to technical operations and environmental requirements.
Collaborate with power plant and engineering teams to gather information and provide recommendations on process or system improvements.
Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive audit reports with practical recommendations for mitigation of risks and enhancement of operations.
Monitor follow-up actions and implementation of audit recommendations.
Stay updated on new industry technologies, regulatory changes, and technical risk frameworks related to energy and power generation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or technical auditing.
Proven experience in auditing or reviewing technical aspects of power generation systems, rotating equipment, control systems, or utility plant operations.
Familiarity with regulatory bodies (DOE, ERC, DENR, etc.) and applicable technical standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
