Senior Software Engineer – Core Banking
An exciting opportunity has opened for experienced Senior Sofware Engineer in the API and Microservices development team under the Core Banking program of work. As a Senior Software Engineer you will at time function in one of our Scrum teams and also work in a crosscutting role driving advancement in our engineering practices. You will develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production- ready. Through collaboration with other developers your work will improve the banking experience for our customers and our staff.
What You’ll Do…
Develop solutions which are highly secure and performant at scale Implement services following Service Oriented Design principles Building full stack solutions including DB, services and user interface. Writing code that is easy to read, highly maintainable, and written with automated testing in mind Following the standard for effective documentation and communication of knowledge, system and process Effective adoption of continuous delivery methodology, practice and attitudes / mindsets as well as continuous improvement Adoption of Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes. What We’re Looking For…
At least 6+ years’ experience in Java, Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka and Docker is a huge plus Learn new technologies Understanding on micro service and domain driven design. Well experienced in building RESTful and SOAP Web services. Extensive hands on experience in JAVA 11/17 and Data structures. Experience in Spring AOP, Spring security and Spring cloud. Strong experience working within Agile organisations. Demonstrated experience and understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle,. IDE, source control, CI, test, mocking, work tracking, defect management, Continuous Delivery / Dev Ops at scale etc. Good understanding of software design principles and patterns Exposure to cloud technologies and automation. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
