About the Company
Our client is not your grandmother’s accounting firm (unless she was incredibly cool—in which case, respect). This is a human-centered accounting team bringing warmth, wit, and clarity to a field that’s often been cold, stiff, and a little too obsessed with suits.
They help entrepreneurs reclaim their financial confidence, make sense of their numbers, and do it all with more energy, ease, and peace of mind. Here, radical responsibility and intentional awareness aren’t just buzzwords—they’re a way of working.
They're building an agency where accounting feels more human—and maybe, just maybe, even fun. Yes, they said it.
About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, curious, detail-loving Bookkeeper to keep our clients' financial systems humming. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing client books, tracking income, running reports, handling payroll, and helping us stay tax-season-ready (without the panic).
This isn’t just a data-entry gig—we need someone who gets the story behind the numbers and feels energized by the idea of turning chaos into clarity.
Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Bookkeeping – Manage the full set of books for multiple clients, including bank feeds, journal entries, classifications, and reconciliations.
Ledger and Account Maintenance – Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring consistency and compliance across financial records.
Reconciliations – Reconcile bank and credit card accounts like a spreadsheet ninja, completing monthly reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
Income Tracking – Track income across multiple revenue streams (because our clients hustle in more than one lane).
Payments and Payables – Process payments to vendors, contractors, and other partners.
Invoicing and Collections – Keep invoicing and collections flowing smoothly (no ghosted invoices here).
Discrepancy Resolution – Identify and fix discrepancies before they become “uh-oh” moments.
A/P and A/R Reporting – Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable like a boss.
Financial Review – Watch for anything weird or off in the financials (trust your gut).
Financial Reporting – Prepare financial statements and support mid-level accountants and CFOs in client reporting and presentations.
Compliance Support – Ensure all financial practices are aligned with US accounting standards and internal policies.
Software Utilization – Use Quick Books Online and maintain supporting spreadsheets like they’re second nature to manage workflows and ensure consistent documentation and reporting.
Monthly Close – Take the reins on monthly close, transitioning from CFO/accountant oversight to full ownership.
Team Communication – Collaborate with internal team members and clients to clarify financial data, timelines, or discrepancies, maintaining clear and proactive communication.
