Position Title: Business Development Manager Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to drive our expansion and forge strong, lasting partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Philippine financial landscape, a robust professional network, and a proven track record of creating and capturing growth opportunities in the lending or fintech sector. You will be instrumental in shaping our growth trajectory by identifying new market segments, negotiating strategic alliances, and building our B2 B partnership ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy (especially B2 B) to achieve company growth targets and expand market presence. Partnership Development: Identify, source, and manage a strong pipeline of potential strategic partners, including but not limited to e-commerce platforms, retail merchants, payment gateways, and other financial institutions. Deal Negotiation & Closing: Lead the entire partnership lifecycle from initial contact and pitching to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring mutually beneficial terms. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key partners and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Risk, and Operations) to ensure the seamless onboarding of new partners and the successful execution of joint initiatives. Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments within the Philippine lending and fintech space to identify new opportunities and potential challenges. Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, partnership performance, and progress against KPIs to senior management. Qualifications Experience: 5 years of proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a similar role, preferably within the lending, banking, or fintech industry in the Philippines. Experience in big market players such as GCash, Grab, Shopee, Tala, e‑wallet companies is an advantage. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Network: An established and relevant network of contacts within the local business community is highly desirable. Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and influence key decision‑makers. Market Knowledge: In‑depth knowledge of the Philippine financial services landscape, including lending products, market dynamics, and regulatory environment. Personal Attributes: Self‑starter, results‑oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Language: Fluent in both English and Filipino.
