The Cabin Mechanic reports directly to the Supervisor (Backshop) and is responsible for the maintenance, repair, servicing, and modification of aircraft cabin and structural components in accordance with the A+ Quality Manual and applicable authorizations. The role ensures compliance with workload targets, KPIs, and productive man-hours, while maintaining quality and safety standards aligned with regulatory requirements. The Cabin Mechanic also contributes to team development and supports continuous improvement in line with company goals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure compliance of aircraft cabin and structural services with Airworthiness Standards, Civil Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, and industry practices. Handle equipment, training, consumables monitoring, special projects, etc., properly. Capture and comply with workloads dictated by capacity planning and material management. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the shop and work areas. Review work forms for accuracy and proper completion prior to submission. Follow reporting protocols and address critical unresolved issues promptly. Review and interpret technical publications such as Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, and implement applicable updates. Inspect and validate life-controlled consumables before use, ensuring they are not expired and have conformance certificates. Perform time booking, ground handling, and related operational reporting/deliveries. Maintain a FOD-free, clean, and safe work environment. Coordinate and monitor workload processes to ensure regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors. EDUCATION & TRAININGBS in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) or Aeronautical Engineering. Training in sheet metal and composite repairs. Damage mapping training. Specialized training in permaswage or rynglok repair. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMinimum 3 years' experience in aircraft cabin and structural work. Experience as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. Experience as an aircraft composites mechanic. SKILLS & ABILITIESProficient in computer use for reporting, monitoring, and online systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Capable of creating layouts guided by the SRM. Knowledge of aircraft painting and chemical handling.
