Job Description
Performs operational/ technical tasks of sector design in the reception and processing of projects involving Meralcos's distribution facilities the preparation, negotiation, communication and facilitation and implementation of distribution facilities design, under set directions, policies, guidelines and procedures, implement parts of or major processes in:
Preparation, negotiation/ communication, implementation and monitoring of overhead, facilities design.
Interpretation and application of funtional philosophies, principles and policies.
Provision of tehcnical support and consultancy services in designing overhead, and Network facilities.
Evaluation, assessment and monitoring of distribution projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Receives project and determines project requirements.
- Coordinates with customers/ network facilities design overhead/ underground/ network facilities design.
- Conducts premilinary studies, surveys and assessment to facilitate overhead/ underground/ network facilities design.
- Prepares design for the following:
projects involving secondary line extension, pole and guy relocation, installation/ replacement of single phase transformer.
simple projects (e.g. ordinary residential service connection, streetlight installation)
- Prepares premilinary scheme for guy relocation.
- Facilities approval and implementation of the design.
- Encodes data in Work Order Management System (WOMS)
- Gather data to facilitate determination of target dates for electric capital service (ECP) and service application.
- Analyze data and determine probable target dates for electric capital project (ECP) and service application.
- Facilitate determination of realistic target dates for projects.
- Prepare project schedule based on analysis of data.
- Conducts preliminary studies and surveys to facilitate designing of overhead.
- Prepares design for projects involving primary line extension, installation voltage correction, and all major relocations.
.- Facilitates approval and implementation of the design.
- Update facilitates attributes on WOMS.
- Conducts preliminary studies, surveys and analyses to facilitate designing of distribution facilities.
- Prepares designed for projects involving ECP, major road widening, primary metering, installation of special line equipment, projects requiring special construction or non-standard construction, and voltage correction construction.
- Prepares overhead distribution facility master plan
- Facilities approval and implementation of the design
- Introduce non-standard alternative design scheme or constructive units.
- Provides of technical support, advice and consultancy services in the following areas.
transformer vault, overhead, facilities design
distribution project management concerns
meralco customers and/ or electrical industry practioners on distribution facilities- related concerns.
- Evaluates and prioritizes project schedules
- Facilitates approval and implementation project schedule
- Evaluates project implementation changes necessary.

Job Requirements
- Graduate of a Bachelor's/Degree BS Electrical Engineering, Preferably Licensed Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in Electrical Design software such as ACAD, Knowledgeable in electrical design codes and standards such PEC. Both an independent and a team worker.
- At least 2 years of design work experience in distribution systems working drawings, technical specifications, bill of quantities, tender documents.
- Willing to be assigned in Project Sites.
