Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team.

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of tax accounting, and excellent communication abilities.

Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Conduct thorough tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize tax benefits.

Review financial records, statements, and documents to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Handle tax audits and resolve any discrepancies or issues with tax authorities.

Maintain detailed records of all tax-related transactions and documents.

Collaborate with other accounting and finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Provide training and support to junior tax accountants as needed.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in tax accounting.

Requirements Requirements/Skills Needed: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA certification preferred.

At least 3+ years of experience in tax accounting.

At least 2+ years of experience in public practice accounting.

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and AU local tax laws and regulations.

Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Experience with tax audits and resolving tax-related issues.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Additional Job Details: Set-up and Location: Office-based (Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu) Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PH Time) Employment Type: Full-time All interviews and other hiring requirements are done virtually or through video calls or emails.

Requirements Minimum 7+ years of relevant Australian general accounting experience.

Experience supporting clients in the manufacturing industry is a nice-to-have.

Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills.

With great initiative to contribute to both professional and company advancement Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

Ability in various accounting software, including MYOB EXO and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field, CPA or Chartered Accountant is an advantage.

Knowledgeable of BAS requirements incl.

GST, PAYGW, FTC, etc.

Ability to deal with inter-company scenarios.

Expert in basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices.

Demonstrated ability to develop and retain effective client relationships.

Knowledge of bookkeeping solutions and Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Outlook.

Well-developed interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to mentor/train accountants.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize.

Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative.
