With Metrobank, a meaningful life is within your reach!Job Summary: The Commercial Deposit Products Department Head is responsible for leading a dynamic team to drive business growth while ensuring operational efficiency. The Commercial Deposit Head shall act as the overall business manager covering the product’s development, commercialization, execution/implementation, enhancement, servicing, risk mitigation capabilities, and profitability. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Business Generation: Align product/business plan with the overall objective and vision of the Bank. Oversee and approve the product/business plans covering market segmentation, product positioning, competitive analysis, sales strategy, pricing strategy, and product enhancement to ensure business growth. Oversee and approve product marketing/commercialization strategy to increase sales activities and product uptake (e.g., internal/external product campaigns) in coordination with the CXMD and Marketing. Operational Efficiency: Review and approve commercial deposit product manual. Review and approve proposed changes in commercial deposit products. Review and approve proposed process changes related to the product/customer segment. Monitor commercial deposit product performance and P&L. Collaborate with internal and/or cross-functional partner units to deliver overall business objectives and requirements of commercial deposit products. Coordinate with external parties/vendors on product supplies and other items that will support the product features, if any. Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time. Risk Awareness and Management: Assess risks on commercial deposit products and ensure that products have necessary controls in place to avoid incidences of AMLA, risk, internal and external fraud, and data privacy. Understand regulatory requirements and compliance standards and apply accordingly to commercial deposit products and ensure compliance of all products with regulatory and internal policies. Coordinate with control units (e.g., Risk Management Group, Compliance Division, Legal Services Division, AMLD, etc.) to mitigate risks on commercial deposit products and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. People Management: Provide leadership and guidance to Product Manager (PM), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Define Key Results Area (KRA) for PM. Prepare annual budget for the department. Qualifications: Graduate of any business course. At least 5 years of work experience in Banking Products and Services, Basic Banking Operations, Market Trends, and competitor scan. Understands market research, statistics, and analysis. Knowledge of development principles. Good understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and under pressure of deadlines. Good communication skills. Emotional and social intelligence. Good leadership skills.
