Job Description : Job Purpose: The position is responsible in processing of cheques, debit memos, telegraphic transfers to pay the company’s suppliers, agents & staff and policy and plan holders.

Prepares settlement instructions in physical form or electronic form for fund transfers.

Disbursement Processing: Responsible in the preparation of various modes of payments for policy-related transactions such as cheques, debit memos, and telegraphic transfer.

This includes the review of bank codes, disbursement types and the completeness of the approval of these disbursements.

Ensures that bank remittances transactions are processed on time Responsible in the preparation of debit memos and telegraphic transfers for non-policy related transactions.

This includes reviewing of transaction codes in approved disbursement requests and proper tax application before processing of payment.

Check if supporting documents presented are valid, complete and supports the disbursement request.

Dollar cash advances are also processed upon ensuring that the proper approval is sought and supporting documents are valid and complete.

Internal Control: Ensures appropriate controls are performed in the receipt of request and cheque releasing.

Qualifications: Preferably an Accounting or business-related course graduate With basic understanding of the Disbursement Process Knowledgeable in the Internal Control Environment Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)/Internet Applications.

Advanced Excel knowledge is an advantage Good written and verbal English communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with the team Must be able to deal professionally with various business units and external partners/clients. Must be able to work well under pressure and can resolve issues/concerns on a timely basis. Personal attributes such as initiative, attention to detail and with sound work ethics Job Category: Finance Posting End Date:29/11/2024
