The UX and Business Analyst solicits business and end-user requirements through a human-centered design
(HCD) approach, exploring the behaviors and motivations of end users and liaising with stakeholders to define and
validate the product requirements and functionalities in support of the Product Manager. The UX and Business
Analyst aims for IT solutions to achieve the highest quality in terms of technical usability, user acceptability, and
domain suitability.
Responsibilities:
Gather and validate requirements using different techniques, based on the stage of the product lifecycle, that
span from Human Cantered Design, Design Thinking, Service Design to Co-design.
Identify blind spots and risky assumptions that might impair the success of the product, flagging risks, validating
assumptions, and conducting research as needed.
Conduct ideation sessions and synthesis activities to turn insights into new solution offerings that deliver
strategic value to the business.
Design user journeys and create User Interface flowcharts based on the needs and the limitations of the users
and of the context of use.
Partner with User Researchers and Interface Designers to build incremental prototypes (from wireframes to the
actual front-end of the solution).
Assist in revising the requirements as insights from user testing are revealed.
Support the Product Manager in the identification and description of Product Backlog Items, identifying epics,
decomposing high-level requirements to ensure everyone understands the work items in the product backlog
(pass the INVEST criteria).
Collaborate with the Product Manager and stakeholders to ensure that design specifications are implemented
as planned.
Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design solutions, articulating design rationale both verbally and
visually.
Expected deliverables:
Project documentation and artifacts for the project in Dev Ops and Confluence
UX and business analysis artifacts such as user journey maps, user interface flowcharts, affinity diagrams,
and service blueprints.
Product Backlog Items (user stories, tasks, bugs, etc.) that pass the Acceptance criteria.
Analysis findings of incidents and requests, identifying trends and proposing long-term remediation actions
