Manages the end-to-end lifecycle of a project from start to end/closing of a project, including the benefits realization of the business when the project was implemented.
Project Manager assists BAs in analyzing business needs and documents requirements for a banking system. The responsibilities include gathering business requirements, optimizing processes, designing, testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, bridging business and IT teams. The role requires preparing functional specifications, leading testing (UAT & Integration), assisting in data migration activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in business users training.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end management of the projects' lifecycle.
Manage and oversee business requirement gathering: Ensure document business and systems requirement are complete.
Solution Design: Collaborate with business, IT and vendors to translate business requirement into functional specifications and system design and document the solution design.
Business Process Analysis: Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to improve operations, process optimization, ensure completion of user manuals.
UAT Conduct: Assist BA in developing test plan, test cases. Coordination with business users in the conduct of UAT. Document test results. Defects management - assist in closing reported defects.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure Core Banking solution complies with regulatory requirements. Protection of customers sensitive data.
Data Clean-up and Migration: Analyze data from legacy system and map with the end-state system.
Ensure Business Users Training: Assist in train-the-trainers program. Administer training sessions for business users.
Deployment Support: Assist in system configuration (product, account, interest rates, service fees, charges, chart of accounts), parameterization and set-up (prior to deployment). Assist in defining users access matrix.
Qualifications and Competencies
Skill and experience in project management preferably in banks and other financial institutions.
Strong understanding of Core Banking processes and financial products.
Facilitation skills to bridge the gap between business and IT.
Proven experience in business analysis within the financial services sector.
Experience in these IT areas is non-mandatory but a plus-databases, API messaging & integration, cybersecurity, disaster recovery.
Ability to organize meetings and communicate with business and IT stakeholders.
Ability to create diagrams to explain system complexities and requirements.
Ability to address minor stakeholder conflicts (conflict management)
Preferred experience in the Loans Life Cycle, various Consumer and Corporate Loan Products.
