Collecting, analyzing and interpreting data on project performance including costs, schedules, quantities, and productivity.Preparing detailed estimates and bill of quantities for construction projects.Providing accurate valuations of work completed for payment purposes.Assisting the project management team in the cost control of construction projects.Producing and maintaining accurate cost reports and records.Preparing and submitting claims for variations to the scope of works.Negotiating and settling final accounts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.Advising on contractual matters relating to variations, claims, and disputed accounts.Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals involved on the project.Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil EngineeringAt least 1 year of professional experience in quantity surveying or related fields, showing a solid knowledge of construction processes and materialsFamiliarity with industry-standard softwareExcellent problem solving, financial analysis, and communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesFamiliarity with construction contracts, professional indemnity insurance, and local building regulations
