The Recruitment Manager–Business Professionals role will work closely with the Business Professional Recruitment Lead and Regional Directors of Recruitment to deliver a first-class recruitment experience to all Business Professional candidates and Hiring Managers across in-market offices and centers. This role will support and mentor Specialist/s and Coordinator/s.
Collectively, they will ensure the execution of full life-cycle recruitment processes (internal and external) are achieved within set benchmarks, whilst undertaking the delivery and coordination of a hands‑on and direct sourcing strategy to attract and hire qualified talent.
Main responsibilities:
Work closely with the Business Professional Recruitment Lead to efficiently manage and execute all Business Professional recruitment related activities, with a focus on attracting and hiring qualified talent across all offices and centers
Execute the filling of approved vacancies, aligned with the needs of the business
Heavily utilize direct sourcing methodologies, using appropriate talent attraction strategies to deliver lateral talent, reducing dependency on agencies and to reduce overall agency and head‑hunter costs
Ensure consistent compliance with employment laws, internal policies and risk management protocols when recruiting across locations/geographies
Develop and maintain relationships with functional Directors, understanding unique staffing requirements/challenges across different functions of business & professional services
Manage vacancies across all Business Professional functions globally, with support from Specialists and Coordinators, including direct sourcing, talent pipeline development, application management, screening, shortlisting, pre‑interviewing, offer administration, due diligence, and onboarding activities
Provide deep functional knowledge and expertise, acting as a trusted advisor across the function and the business
Partner with and ensure effective collaboration and communication with in‑market and centre functional teams and administrators to drive best‑in‑class recruitment and functional cohesiveness
With support of Specialists and Coordinators, ensure interviews are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner and hiring managers are regularly updated on vacancy status; leverage AI scheduling capabilities to increase efficiency
Work with Recruitment Directors to define and track recruitment KPIs that are measurable (e.g. time‑to‑fill, time‑to‑hire, offer acceptance rate, candidate source, cost savings etc.), and provide regular reporting updates against these
Work with Business Professional Recruitment Lead and Recruitment Operations team to explore/develop AI‑driven workflows for resume review, talent matching and pipeline management (including leveraging Avature)
Adhere to all workforce planning and hiring approvals / budgeting processes
Create a process for the unified Business Professional team (Coordinators/Specialists) to ensure delivery of a consistent high‑quality pipeline of passive and interested inclusive talent
Maintain database of preferred external agencies and supplier terms
Ensure that all recruitment processes support the Firm's brand and that the Firm provides a world‑class candidate experience throughout the selection process
Participate in various recruiter organizations to increase personal networking, knowledge sharing and promotion of the Firm
Drive continuous improvement to ensure recruitment practices evolve with business needs
Support ad‑hoc projects as assigned by the Directors of Recruitment
Skills and experience:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent
Extensive recruiting experience, at Manager level and across business professional populations, in a professional services organization and/or large law firm
Strong international recruitment experience as part of a wider recruiting function
Demonstrated success in direct sourcing methodologies and delivery
Strong people management skills and able to develop others via coaching, mentoring and delivering performance feedback
Extensive experience in leading professional and business services recruitment and delivering operational excellence across functional teams (e.g. Finance, Operations, Human Resources, IT, Business Development, Marketing, Communications, and other support functions)
Technologically capable with experience in working with and maintaining Applicant Tracking Systems and adopting AI to streamline hiring processes
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to relate to and gain the confidence of people
Able to work at pace, problem solve and deliver solutions against tight timelines
Excellent communication skills with both team members, direct reports and senior and executive stakeholders
Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable working with minimal direction and proactively takes initiative within a globally dispersed team
Able to bring good judgement and empathy to sensitive situations
