Position Summary The Senior Tax Analyst is an integral part of our Global Tax & Compliance function.
This functionprepares the Firm’s US Partnership tax filings, manages the payment of the Partners’ taxes in the 30+countries in which the firmoperates, and works with management to ensure the Firm and each of itsoffices is in compliance with the relevant local tax rules.
The Tax Department handles all annual andquarterly reporting of tax information to the Firm’spartners worldwide, provides information to the Firm’s non-US offices for local tax filings, and monitors taxcompliance in every country.
The Senior Tax Analyst is involved in all aspects of tax compliance, partner tax accountsreconciliations and other related analysis and reporting.
Possessing solid knowledge of taxprocesses and functions, he/she solves issues,innovates processes and assists colleagues.
He/sheinteracts with colleagues and stakeholders in the as well as other contacts in differentdepartments and global offices of the firm to deliver timely work product with highest quality andaccuracy.
This position requires an ability to work independently and diligently in a fast-paced, globaland dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skillsare essential.
Duties and Accountabilities1 Reconcile partners tax accounts with moderate to high level of complexity, such as daily update ofnon-US tax account reconciliation Prepare partner cash flow statements, departure calculations and final tax reconciliations as requested Prepare journal adjusting entries based on the reconciliations; Prepare tax returns and supporting schedules/analyses of moderate to high complexity for monthly, quarterly and annual filings Gather documentation of partners’ tax payments to support partners upon audit Maintain files and checklist for all partners’ tax residency certificates and prepare documentation packages as needed for reducing withholding tax on certain transactions Communicate with stakeholders/global clients to deliver the tasks and those involved in the input of tax related general ledger entries in the system; Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in Manila, London and Collaborate with colleagues in other departments and other to resolve issues regarding moderate to complex issuessuch as correct posting of and documentation for partners’ taxes Solve simple to moderate tax issues and escalate if not solved within capacity; Develop and implement process improvements or streamlining using macros or other technology Conducts transfer knowledge on processes with familiarity (trains newer staff and assists colleagues)Conduct research as needed in order to deliver the assigned tasks ( IRS or state tax websites); Prepare journal adjusting entries based on the reconciliations; Prepare ad hoc reports and work on special projects as requested by management or partners Equal Opportunities White & Case is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in with Major in Accounting or Finance3-5 years’ experience in tax, accounting or finance Strong systems skills including Excel, Word, and Adobe Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills both oral and written Highly motivated, assertive, and proactive Team player Customer-service oriented Flexible to work in morning or mid-shift Willing to render overtime in weekdays or weekend (if necessary) Location and Reporting This is a hybrid in-office/remote role based in our Manila office.
This role reports to the Senior Tax Manager.
