Demonstrated understanding of business processes and their risk implications, control framework and risk management practices Demonstrated ability to analyze situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make value-added and practical recommendations Demonstrated knowledge of audit methodologies, project management, control frameworks and risk management practices, and regulatory requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide clear and timely feedback, and to seek feedback when needed. Proven relationship skills including ability to deal with staff/management at all levels. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and projects. On the job, you will: Implement the annual audit plan, including any special tasks or projects requested by management, the regulator, and the Audit Committee. Lead or execute audit assignments in accordance with corporate methodology and Global Internal Audit Standards. Manage assignments within time budgets and target dates, reporting any problem to audit management. Understand and identify business risks and key controls. Test and assess the effectiveness of identified key controls. Review the work of audit team members. Prepare audit reports including executive summary and rating of adequacy of risk management. Make practical and value-added recommendations to improve risk management practices and the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Present findings and recommendations to management. Resolve contentious issues and reach agreement on appropriate solutions to risk management and operational efficiency issues. Monitor open audit issues until resolved. Assist in the annual audit planning and preparation of management reports and regulatory audits. Anticipate and respond to information requests and business unit management needs. Keep audit management informed of the audit progress. Build and maintain good working relationships with management. Foster collaboration and improve coordination of audit activities among Risk Management, Compliance and other governance groups.
