Compliance-related processes include anti-corruption, sanctions, competition, anti-money laundering, export controls, data privacy, modern slavery or state sensitive information etc.  The Specialist Compliance role will also support the broader Systems and Monitoring team accountabilities to protect and enhance BHP’s reputation, to manage compliance risk and to contribute to social value creation. Core Accountabilities Test the design and operational effectiveness of controls.

Proactively identify Compliance-related risks or concerns throughout the monitoring process.

Communicate the monitoring results to control owners and business leaders.

Works with Systems and Monitoring team to design, operate and continuously improve monitoring processes.

Supports the global Compliance team in data extraction, reporting and insights. Support Compliance projects as assigned.

About You Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in compliance, risk, finance or audit. Experience & Technical Competencies Ideal experience & technical competencies: Experience in Compliance or Internal Audit  Strong workload planning and prioritisation skills Experience working in global corporations and/or professional services firms Knowledge in SAP, Microsoft Excel and Power BIDemonstrated verbal and written communication ability Ability to interrogate data and information to identify risks Strong interpersonal skills Languages: English Spanish (required) Chinese (nice to have) About Our Process  At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
