The DCX Client Services - Home Based Staff Accountant will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by the company.
The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co‑workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Job Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee and manage all day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Monitor cash flow and provide projections and recommendations
Budgeting & Forecasting
Develop annual budgets in collaboration with leadership
Prepare rolling forecasts and variance analysis
Provide financial modeling and scenario planning to support business decisions
Identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationships
Oversee tax filings and regulatory reporting
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
Systems & Process Improvement
Maintain and optimize accounting systems and financial reporting tools
Improve financial workflows for scalability and efficiency
Support integration and reporting between accounting and CRM systems
Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise and mentor accounting staff (if applicable)
Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives
Communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non‑financial
Additional Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (4‑year degree required)
Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting and bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required.
